Warith International Foundation for Oncology in Karbala announces spending 405 million dinars on treating children

The Warith International Foundation for Oncology in Karbala, which is affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced spending 405 million IQD in June 2022 on treating children, which is the highest since the foundation's inauguration.

The Foundation said in a statement, "The amounts paid by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine were disbursed to the Warith International Foundation for Oncology, which amounted to more than 405 million dinars as costs for treating children in June, which is the highest since its establishment.”

The statement added, "These funds disbursed by the Holy Shrine included all Iraqi children who were treated in the Foundation, as it is prepared for all Iraqis from the north to the south. The Health and Medical Education Authority at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine had indicated earlier that the Warith Foundation is considered the only one in the Middle East region, in terms of providing integrated services to cancer patients.

The Holy Shrine stresses that the role of its health institutions is a complementary role to the efforts of the concerned health authorities in the province in particular and Iraq in general in providing the best medical services to patients.
