Preparations are being made to plant over 5000 date trees on Fedek Farm, which is affiliated with the Imam Hussain Shrine.
Director of the farm agronomist. Fa’iz Abul-Ma’ali said, on Sunday, that the 5000 date trees will be planted during the first quarter of 2020, and the second quarter will be for planting over 33,000 ones of the types demanded by the local market.
He mentioned that Fedek farm is 2000 acres, on which 70,000 date trees can be planted, noting that it’s been established to support the local market and limit the import of produce.
