Imam Hussein Shrine invites Metropolitan Orthodox archbishop to partake in Cultural Week in Lebanon

 

,Imam Hussein Shrine sent a delegation to Lebanon in order to arrange for holding the Cultural Week in Tyre city, Lebanon on Sep 9, 2017. The delegation invited the Metropolitan Orthodox archbishop Maechle Abres to participate in the activities of the Cultural Week.

 

Jemal Esh-Shehristani, head of delegation, said that the delegation acquainted Abres with the most significant achievements of Imam Hussein Shrine, especially the co-existence with other religions and religious denominations.

 

He added that international festivals and conferences strengthen the relationships with the social spectrum, and greatly contribute to protecting the religious, human, and moral heritage.

 

The delegation also asked Abres to write a research on the Human Rights of Imam Es-Sejjad (Peace Be Upon Him) and deliver it at the festival of Imam Es-Sejjad’s (Peace Be Upon Him) Treatise of Human Rights.
