Attractive piece of marble at Imam Hussein Museum

 

Among many antiquities, a piece of marble displayed at the museum of Imam Hussein Shrine attracts the visitors' attention, for its mixed colors that make it look unique.

 

This piece of marble used to be used within the previous lattice-enclosed tomb, and it was right at the place where the head of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). Where it was was facing the place where the Imam was martyred.

 

It is 85 cm long and 55 cm wide, and dark red mixed with light green, in addition to some other colors such as brown and white.
