Potable water project for pilgrims nearing completion

The engineering staff of the Imam Hussein Shrine has stated that they have advanced in achieving the project of providing the pilgrims with potable water along the road from the city of Nejef to the holy city of Kerberla.

The project is laying a 35 km pipe and building three water purification stations that produce approximately 440 square meters of potable water.

This project will also provide the pilgrim mini-cities on Nejef-Kerbela road with water.

Such a project is vital, especially during the grand pilgrimages when millions of pilgrims come on foot to make a pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
