In recognition of the Popular Mobilization Forces’ sacrifices, Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has presented a piece of gold to a newly married couple: Amjed and Zehra. During the war against ISIS, the husband Amjed, who was engaged to Zehra, had his leg amputated and his body seriously injured.
The piece of gold carrying the couple’s names, in addition to the name of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), has been presented to them in appreciation of their noble attitudes when Zehra expressed her consent to marry Amjed despite the fact that his leg was amputated and his body was seriously injured, and Amjed who sacrificed for his country.
This is one of the stories of the truly heroic paramilitaries, which has been mentioned by the representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbela’e in a Friday’s sermon.
