El-Kerbela'e: Extirpating ISIS doesn't end problems

Imam Hussein Holy Shrine held the First International Media Conference where many figures and scholars from different religious denominations from different parts of the world attended.

The custodian of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority his Eminence sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbela’e delivered a speech in which he said that extirpating ISIS does not mean the end of problems; people should shoulder responsibilities regionally and internationally.

Iraq has been bleeding and sacrificing for improvement, wealth, and prosperity that would have been achieved if were not for the current situation Iraq has been going through, said further El-Kerbela’e.

He mentioned that ISIS was not satisfied with murdering innocent people, but they also targeted the cultures, and not only did they devastate the Islamic worshipping places, but they also devastated worshipping places of other religions; this is a clear-cut sign that ISIS is a group of savage criminals, targeting everyone.

People should work together to stop extremism of thought and beliefs, mentioned further El-Kerbela’e.
