In commemoration of the tragic martyrdom anniversary of Fatima Ez-Zehra’ (Peace Be Upon Her), daughter of Prophet Mohammed (Allah’s Blessings and Peace Be Upon Him and His Pure Family), the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and the streets around it were covered with black cloths.
Many people, forming processions, marched through and around the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas holy Shrines.
A mourning lecture was delivered in which the preacher mentioned the sufferings and ordeals Fatima (Peace Be Upon Her) had experienced when her father had passed away, her rights had been taken away, her house had been broken into; and how she had been buried secretly and her grave had been concealed.
