70,000 manuscript collection has been found

 

The Cultural and Intellectual Heritage Revival Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine stated that they received a collection of manuscripts written by the late Dr. Abdul-Jawad El-Kelidar who passed away in 1960.

 

El-Kelidar was one of the famous scholars and historians, who specialized in the history of kerbala city. He wrote the book, “History of Kerbala”, and established the newspaper known as, “The Liberals”.

 

The collection consists of 70,000 manuscripts, and those manuscripts consist of many names of scholars and remarkable figures. Therefore, the head of the department stated that the names in the manuscripts will be added to the encyclopedia of the grand figures, which the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has been working on.
