El-Kerbala'e: paramilitaries advance, fiscal crisis strikes Iraq, and political forces' attention required

Oct 9, 2015. Second part of the Friday's Sermon held at the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, and the preacher of the Friday's Sermon in Kerbala, His Eminence sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala'e mentioned three issues, saying:

First

Our security forces and paramilitaries are noticeably advancing in defeating the terrorist ISIS, especially in Al-Anbar City and some other areas. On the other hand, the terrorist ISIS are still committing the most hideous crimes detonating vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices in crowded markets, as what happened last week in Khalis and Zubair areas; many were killed wrongfully and aggressively.

Second

Based on fiscal statistics recently conducted by economists, the Iraqi monetary status will not enhance in the immediate future, and that warns of serious problems where there is a tremendous need to cover the expenses of the war against the ISIS. Therefore, emergency economic, monetary, and developmental procedures have to be established soon.

Third

In the light of the afflictions Iraq is nowadays confronting, the political forces ought to take care of the reform process, away from creating obstacles and without overlooking anyone, regardless of their position and rank, in addition to refraining from wrangles via media and accusing others based on no evidence.  Moreover, the Integrity Committee has to disclose all the cases of corruption of the high-positioned officials soon where the Judiciary has to prosecute all the guilty ones. And the Iraqi government has to provide the Integrity Committee and the Judiciary with protection accordingly so they can proceed with their task properly.
