The Islamic Supreme Religious Authority has specified 1500 Iraqi dinars as Zakah (Almsgiving) for Ramadhan that each person; who has to fast; to give.
Zakah is an Islamic obligatory duty that every adult Muslim has to pay. It should be prepared a night before Eid or on the day of Eid but before the prayer of Eid. Also, it can be kept till after the Eid prayer in terms of looking for a poor person to give to.
The one who is supporting and is responsible for his family has to pay zakah instead of his wife and children. Also if that person has guests, he has to pay zakah instead of the guests, too.
