His Eminence, sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala’i, the secretary general of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has signed a contract with El-Kawther Iranian Charity Foundation in order to expand El-Aqila Zaineb Sanctuary, at a cost of approximately $ 60 million.
The perimeter of the whole project will be 200 000 square meters, and will probably be more than that, and the estimated period of time to achieve the project is 6 years.
The sanctuary is going to be provided with the best and modern equipment.
It has been mentioned that the sanctuary will help during the great pilgrimages to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
