Es-Seestany Warns of Long-term War With ISIS Expanding

May 29, 2015. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday’s Sermon in the holy city of Kerbala, His Eminence, Sheikh Abdul Mehdi El-Kerbala'i, called on the political, religious, and social authorities to adopt stance on the ISIS, and should be confident that the current conflict is not sectarian, but it is humane, patriotic, and moral; and that might affect the neighboring areas around Iraq.

He also called on the Iraqi government to request Turkey to increase the discharges of water to Tigris and Euphrates rivers, in addition to adopting a contingency plan for the southern cities of Iraq.

He also said that the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority highly commemorated the brave soldier Mustafa El-Athary, who had severely suffered before he was murdered by the worst, inhumane individuals.

His Eminence also mentioned the pilgrimage to the Awaited Imam El-Mehdy (May Allah Hasten His Return), on his birth anniversary and said that it would not be like the other pilgrimages took place in the previous years due to the crucial situation between the Iraq’s army and the ISIS.

He said further that there should be a happy celebration which should be proportional to the critical and extraordinary status quo that Iraq is currently going through.
