ISIS attempting to take Mosul again

After ISIS’s defeat in the battle of Jehf Town – West Mosul City, they attempted the following day of their defeat to attack the same town with three vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices.

The three car bombs were detonated by Et-Tufoof Paramilitary Brigade of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. The brigade also eliminated many of ISIS militants and destroyed their vehicles.

Qasim Muslih, brigade commander, commended his brigade for their tremendous efforts. He also said that Asa’eb Ahlul-Haq Paramilitary forces assisted his brigade in counterattacking ISIS.

Muslih requested a quick response air cover to assist the Popular Mobilization Forces, confirming that airplanes were sent to eliminate the rest of the ISIS’s fleeing vehicles where four vehicles were destroyed.
