In a tour conducted by officials from the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in order to have a British Sunni Muslim scholar delegation acquainted with what has lately been taking place in Iraq; in an area called Edh-Dhilo’eya, located south Salah Ed-Deen City, they met with a retired military general who, is now fighting ISIS; side by side; with his tribe, told them stories, some of which he witnessed, about how ISIS murdered children and women and destroyed houses. He said that ISIS had used many means of attacking civilians and had always attacked them with mortars during the time for prayer, in addition to destroying mosques and murdering worshipers. He said further: “ISIS came under the pretext of representing Sunni Muslims and Islam, but it turned out that they have defamed the reputation of Islam and wanted to partition Iraq into small territories, but Iraq’s Sunni and Shia Muslims’ unity has been embodied in confronting this criminal bloody organization”.
