Physical therapy center, first of its kind in the Middle East, to be built

The Imam Hussain Shrine has signed a contract with a Turkish company in terms of building a first-of-its-kind physical therapy center in the Middle East.

Dr. Yaser Essa’idey – director of Elwarith Center for Smart Prosthetic Limbs affiliated with the Imam Hussain Shrine – said that the contract is deemed to be complementary to Elwarith Center for Smart Prosthetic Limbs project that the Imam Hussain Shrine established two years ago.

He also said that the center will specialize in treating conditions, such as the spinal cord, hemiplegia and quadriplegia, emphasizing that the fees will be affordable, especially for those that the custodian of the Imam Hussain Shrine – sheikh Abdul-Mehdi ElKerbela’ey – recommended: the orphans, the poor, and paramilitaries of the popular mobilization forces.

Dr. Uzkoor – director of Physiqa Turkish Center for Physical Therapy – said to Imam Hussain website, “We will provide the center with the best physical therapy devices, in addition to the medical staff in order to make it the best physical therapy center in the Middle East,” indicating that the 5-year contract is renewable.
