Red Cross Society Collaborates With Imam Hussein Holy Shrine

A voluntary cadre from the Red Cross Society collaborated with members of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine to provide ambulatory and therapeutic services for pilgrims arriving on foot to commemorate the Arba'een Pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). The programs planned consist of 15 ambulance detachments, 25 additional tents which are spread out along the road to Kerbala and inside the city. The motive is to provide the necessary health needs and accommodate pilgrims to sleep or rest. The services will be provided on a 24 hour scale with the presence of 350 volunteer who are highly trained and under supervision by 80 official employees from the Red Cross Society.
