The Media Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has produced a visual documentary which outlines the making of the banner of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). The production of the banner begins with stabilizing the printed words of “Ya Hussein” on special laminated threads. The following stage is using silk threads to further strengthen the attachment of the words against atmospheric conditions. It is interesting to note that the font sustains historical significance since it was carefully selected by the Fatimi State in Egypt, which originates from the time of Imam Al-Sajjad (Peace Be Upon Him).
