Due to the noticeable increase in the number of the pilgrims who come to offer pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine decided to expand the Holy Shrine in order to take more pilgrims during the pilgrimages. The annex which has recently been built is 24000 m2, attached to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. It consists of four floors, and each one covers 2400 m2. It has been constructed according to the modern international standards. It has also been equipped based on the best technology ever where pilgrims can be so comfortable.
