Imam Hussein Holy Shrine Representing Iraq in Tehran

Aug 25, 2014. The Electronic Media Division of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has represented Iraq, partaking in the Second International Mass Media Exhibition held in Tehran, Iran. Wela' Es-Seffar, the head of the Electronic Media Division, said: "Complying with the directives of the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mehdi El-Kerbala'i concerning the necessity of participating in such exhibitions, the Electronic Media Division has taken part in this great exhibition in terms of cross-fertilizing ideas and exchanging experiences." 300 Islamic media foundations participated in the exhibition which strives to improve communication between those foundations in order to advance Islam. The stand of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine exhibited its technical products such as the official website in three languages: Arabic, English, & Persian, Pilgrimage by Proxy, Live Broadcast, in addition to some other contributions such as Offering Prayer Promise; a promise an individual makes to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) that they never neglect offering prayers, and therefore they leave their thumbprint on a sheet, in addition to promising to wearing scarf. Another activity was to write a letter to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) in which the adorers of Ahlul-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them) can their wishes, and those letters will go inside the lattice-enclose tomb of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
