Es-Safi: Parliament Needs to Pass Momentous Rules, & Displaced Families Have to be Taken Care of

July 18, 2014. Second part of the Friday Sermon, held in the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. His Eminence, Sayed Ahmed Es-Safy, representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and preacher of the Friday Sermon in Karbala, mentioned three important issues: First. As long as the parliament board has been elected, which is considered a very important and promising step forward paving the way for activating the role of the legislative and supervisory council election, and for president election, the entire step is highly welcomed; hoping that some momentous rules will be passed such as the budget, the rule of the federal court, the rule of petrol and gas, as well as some other rules. The political blocs might need to elect the president as soon as possible according to the constitutional rules. Second. The concerned entities with the displaced families should do their best to support those families; those who forcibly left their homes due to the recent terrorists' sabotage. The promises of supporting the families should be fulfilled so soon. Third. While the Iraqi army is doing a very noticeable role in defeating the ISIL, they should be so cautious that the ISIL might occupy some other towns or places, and their moves must be closely observed. His Eminence concluded his speech a prayer; saying, "May Allah protect Iraq and the Islamic countries from the enemy. May Allah show us our enemy with their ignominy. May Allah restore the dignity of Iraq, have the martyrs rest in peace, and have mercy upon the injured and have them recovered as soon as possible. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all peoples."
