Regarding the occasion of the blessed birthday of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), a piece of hair of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him & His Pure Lineage) was re-displayed at the museum of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine. It is to mention that the piece of hair is within the things that belong to the Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him & His Pure Lineage) at the Prophet mosque; which had been taken when the Ottomanian people took control of El-Hujaz. It was displayed at the Topkapı museum in Turkey. It was presented to the ruler of Baghdad Dawood Basha, by an Ottomanian Sultan in 1909. Since then, it has been kept in the safe of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine until the museum of the Holy Shrine was built.It is annually displayed for a few days on the occasion of the birthday of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him) and is stored again in order to preserve it from the changeable weather conditions.
