Under the slogan of, "Imam Hussein 'Peace Be Upon Him' is the Sublime Light of the Salt of the Earth & the Guidance for the Pious", the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine witnessed the activities of the Tenth International Conference on Martyrdom Spring. The conference is sponsored by the Secretariats-General of the Imam Hussein and the El-Abbas Holy Shrines, at which so many great figures attended. The conference was opened with reciting verses from the Noble Quran, followed by a speech, delivered by Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala'i. One of the aims of the conference is to manifest the goals of Islam and the true characteristics of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him & His Pure Lineage) especially to the youth, in order to gain them great knowledge. The head of the Shia Endowment Bureau Mr. Salih El-Haideri, delivered a speech, in which he welcomed the delegations attended.Some poets from Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, delivered their wonderful poems, in addition to a speech, delivered on behalf of the African countries.
