The Maintenance Department of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has laid out a plan in order to receive the millions of pilgrims annually come on foot to commemorate the Imam Hussein's 40th memorial. The head of the department said that a part of the plan was to install movable overpasses for the pedestrians around the holy shrine in terms of facilitating the flow of pilgrims. Also, 30 caravans have been distributed to the medical detachments in order to provide pilgrims with the best medical care during the pilgrimage.
