Tuesday July 27, 2013. On the occasion of the blessed birthday of Imam El-Hasan (p.b.u.h), and in cooperation with the Secretariats-General of the Imam Hussein and El-Abbas holy shrines, college of Quranic studies and Shiite Endowment Office, the Sixth Annual Central Cultural Festival has been held by Babylon people.The festival has been held under the title of (Imam El-Hasan {p.b.u.h} is the honor of the faithful Muslims & the evident indisputable Right) in the sanctuary of Mereddi-Shems (The return of the sun) by Imam Ali (p.b.u.h).It's been inaugurated with reciting verses of Noble Quran and raising the banner of Imam El-Hasan (p.b.u.h), then a glimpse about the biography of Imam El-Hasan (p.b.u.h) and his role in saving the Islamic nation, besides the reforming project he managed.The Secretary-General of the El-Abbas holy shrine Sayed Ahmed Es-Safi, has delivered a speech in which he shed light upon strengthening our relation with the infallible Imams (p.b.u.t) by celebrating their occasions. His eminence also described the people of Babylon as generous people and well-known known for their knowledge and grand scholars. Engineer Hasan El-Hilli, the head of the preparatory committee mentioned that the festival held on July 23-25, 2013 in order to let the people be aware of Imam El-Hasan closely and to manifest his grievance. He also mentioned that 110 fine art works had participated in the festival, 20 new books about Imam El-Hasan (p.b.u.h) where 5 books had won, and rewards had been offered to the books won authors.
