Sunday June 23, 2013. A great group of the followers and adorers of Ahlulbait (peace be upon them) would hold the Candle Festival on the occasion of the blessed birthday of the Awaited Imam El-Mehdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance). Haj Ali Muqdad, the head of the supervisor of the festival has stated that the festival has been established in 2001, and the current year is the thirteenth anniversary where the activities had also been increased. One of the activities is to light up a number of candles according to the age of the Awaited Imam El-Mehdi (May Allah hasten his reappearance), and another activity is to hold a ceremony where a large number of people flicking increasingly during the days of the blessed occasion.
