Within the projects achieved by the Imam Hussein holy shrine in Babylon city to promulgate the Husseinian knowledge and awareness, and the Islamic purposeful education; the Imam Hussein holy shrine began implementing a project of constructing an edifice for promulgating knowledge, education and culture of Imam Hussein (p.b.u.h). The head of the Project Department of the Imam Hussein holy shrine Mr. Mohammed Hassan Kadhum said that the parameter of the project was 3000 square meters. The building consisted of six stories and a basement. The building has auditoriums for male and female to read, meetings, conferences, teaching kids and a Quranic institute. The cost of the project is about 12 million $. The period of completely achieving the project is 22 months. The companies operating on this project are Ardh EL-Marmar and Doghsan Turkish Construction Company. Shaikh EL-Kerbalai delivered a speech in which he mentioned the advantages of knowledge. The Minister of Planning said, "We are so honored to lay the cornerstone of such project and the supreme religious authority always does its best to promulgate knowledge through such purposeful edifices". The Governor of Babylon City Mohammed Ali EL-Masody expressed his thankfulness and gratitude to the Imam Hussein holy shrine for the great projects achieved. By: Mohammed Jassim
