Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Secures Three Top Spots in National Quranic Elite Competition Qualifying for International Contests

The Quran House at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has achieved an outstanding Quranic milestone, as its female memorizers and reciters secured three advanced positions in the National Elite Competition, which qualifies participants for international Quranic contests.

Wissam al-Delfi, head of the Quranic Media Center, stated in an interview with the Official Website that "this achievement was realized with memorizer Zainab Hannoun Khalaf winning first place, while memorizer Tabarak Ali Lafta secured second place in the memorization category, and reciter Masouma Abbas achieved second place in the recitation category."

He added that "the head of the Women’s Activity Unit at the Quran House, Ms. Amal al-Mattouri, served as a member of the arbitration committee for the rules of Tajweed, reflecting the specialized expertise and competencies possessed by the House in the Quranic field."

This distinction comes as the fruit of the academic and educational efforts made by the Quran House in preparing female memorizers and reciters and developing their Quranic capabilities, contributing to strengthening Iraq's presence and representation in international Quranic forums and competitions.
