The Religious Preaching Division of the Religious Affairs Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, in cooperation with Babel Central Prison, organized a Quranic course for prison inmates under the slogan "Read and Ascend," aimed at enhancing their Quranic culture and developing their religious knowledge.
The department stated in an announcement, a copy of which was received by the (Official Website), that "the course came as part of the 'Spring of Hearts' Quranic program dedicated to the inmates of Babel Central Prison."
The statement added that "the course began with a welcoming speech that emphasized the importance of Quranic programs in the psychological rehabilitation and spiritual reform of inmates, while praising the efforts of Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in holding these courses, as well as supplying the prison library with copies of the Quran and religious books."
It noted that "the program included a guidance speech that stressed the importance of regularly reading the Holy Quran, learning its rules, and mastering its recitation, due to its impact on refining the soul and strengthening the connection with Almighty Allah, in addition to contributing to the development of the cultural and Quranic level among inmates."
