Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Faqihi emphasized the importance of utilizing the approach of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) in interpreting the Holy Quran and understanding its verses, stressing the necessity of translating Quranic knowledge into practical behavior to reinforce the presence of the Holy Quran in individual and societal life.
This came during his reception of the delegation of the Quranic Contemplation Project participating in the specialized course hosted in the Holy City of Qom. The program was organized by the Advisory Office for Quranic Affairs at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and hosted by the International Quranic Preaching Center branch in Holy Qom, with the participation of representatives from the holy shrines, sacred sanctuaries, the Shia Endowment Divan, and the Union of Quranists in Iraq.
Sheikh Faqihi welcomed the visiting delegation, commending the efforts of the holy shrines in sponsoring specialized Quranic courses and developing targeted programs to deepen the understanding of the Holy Quran. He described the Contemplation Project as an important and excellent initiative, expressing his hope for the widespread adoption of this approach across the Islamic world.
His Eminence directed the participants to adhere to sincerity in work, steadfastness, and patience in facing challenges, alongside focusing on the practical application of Quranic knowledge, emphasizing the importance of embodying Quranic concepts in daily behavior and practice.
For his part, the Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine for Quranic Affairs, Sheikh Hassan Al-Mansouri, reviewed the nature and objectives of the Quranic Contemplation Project, stressing the significance of this initiative in advancing and expanding Quranic work. The meeting commenced with a Quranic recitation by Qari Ala' Al-Sadiqi, reciter and muezzin of the Great Mosque of Kufa.
In conclusion, Sheikh Faqihi prayed that these blessed efforts receive the care and patronage of Sahib al-Zaman (may Allah hasten his reappearance), asking Almighty God to preserve the Supreme Religious Authority represented by Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani (may his shadow endure), and to grant the participants success in continuing their Quranic journey and achieving the project's goals.
