Technical crews at the Maintenance Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine have completed the installation of a massive canopy structure covering a total area estimated at 1,000 m² at Al-Kut University College. The project was executed under the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalaei, and the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Mr. Hassan Rashid Jawad al-Abayachi, in preparation for the launch of the 16th Annual International Martyrdom Festival commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahraa (peace be upon her).

The Head of the Maintenance Department, Eng. Abdul Hassan Muhammad, stated in an official press release obtained by the Official Website that "the project was completed in record time, featuring professional side-cladding for the tent to ensure its full readiness to host the festival's activities."

He explained that "the organization of this festival comes through joint cooperation between the Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Forum in Wasit Governorate (Al-Dabbuni district), the Holy Shrines, and Wasit University."

He added that "this effort falls within a series of ongoing projects and services carried out by the Maintenance Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, both inside and outside the governorate, in support of service activities and initiatives across various departments, centers, and entities affiliated with the Holy Shrine."

The department continues to fulfill its vital and pioneering role in preparing infrastructure and executing field projects across various locations, in alignment with the sound directives of the Holy Shrine's administration aimed at serving the public good, expanding the scope of field work, and supporting religious, cultural, and scientific activities throughout Iraq.
