Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Launches Quranic Memorization Competition in Lebanon with 250 Participants

The International Quranic Reporting Center at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through its Lebanon branch, has announced the launch of a Quranic competition focused on memorizing parts of the Holy Quran, featuring the participation of 250 male and female students across various age groups and Lebanese regions.

The head of the center’s branch in Lebanon, Ali Abu Alhassan, stated in an interview with the official website that "the competition witnessed widespread turn-out and participation from several Lebanese regions and cities, extending from the capital Beirut, Nabatieh, and Tyre, to the Beqaa and Baalbek, reaching Hermel."

He explained that "the competition included multiple age groups, offering participants the opportunity to review and consolidate their memorization of the Book of Almighty Allah, across categories ranging between memorizing (3-5) Quranic parts."

He added that "holding this competition across a broad geographic range falls within the ongoing Quranic programs and activities sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and implemented by the center's branch across various Lebanese regions, aimed at encouraging children and youth to continue memorizing and learning the Holy Quran, while fostering an atmosphere of faith-based competition among them."

This competition comes as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s efforts to spread Quranic culture, support religious and cultural activities outside Iraq, and strengthen engagement with diverse segments of Lebanese society.
