American University Prepares to Host (120) Medical and Nursing Staff Members from the Health and Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to Enhance International Academic Cooperation

The Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced that American Georgetown University has agreed to sponsor a training and development program targeting (120) young medical and nursing staff members, as part of efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation, develop professional capacities, and transfer modern medical knowledge and expertise.

The head of the authority, Dr. Haider Hamza Al-Abdi, stated in a statement received by the Official Website that "the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has obtained approval from American Georgetown University to sponsor a training and development program targeting (120) young medical and nursing staff members, within the framework of fostering international academic cooperation, developing professional capabilities, and transferring modern medical knowledge and expertise."

He explained that "this initiative comes in response to the organization's strategic vision, based on the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai, which aims to achieve leadership and excellence in providing specialized medical services, developing capabilities, and elevating the academic and professional standards of national staff."

He added that "the training program spans a duration of (18) months, supervised by experts and specialists from Georgetown University, and includes a range of advanced medical and administrative fields, among them scientific research, nursing leadership, medical management, and quality management, thereby contributing to enhancing the participants' specialized expertise and developing their career paths."

He continued, noting that "this collaboration represents a vital opportunity for young staff to acquire global knowledge and expertise and work on applying them within the medical institutions affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, which enhances the efficiency of health services and raises the level of professional performance in accordance with modern scientific standards."

It is worth mentioning that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, through the Health and Medical Education Authority, works to develop its health and educational institutions and elevate the quality of services provided to citizens by supporting the training of national staff and strengthening academic and specialized partnerships.
