The Al-Warith Scouts Division, affiliated with the Department of Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has launched a school cleaning campaign under the slogan "Towards a More Beautiful School Environment" in Dhi Qar Governorate, with the participation of more than 18 scout members at Al-Gharraf Central School.
In a statement obtained by the official website, the department said: "The Al-Warith Scouts Division, affiliated with the Department of Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, launched a school cleaning campaign under the slogan 'Towards a More Beautiful School Environment' in Dhi Qar Governorate, with the participation of more than 18 scout members at Al-Gharraf Central School."
The department explained that "the campaign aims to promote a culture of cleanliness and environmental preservation within schools, while reinforcing values of cooperation and voluntary work among students and scouts, thereby contributing to a clean and healthy educational environment."
It added that "the campaign included cleaning operations covering schoolyards, halls, and facilities, alongside organizing awareness activities for students regarding the importance of maintaining public cleanliness, avoiding littering, and preserving school property."
Furthermore, it noted that "this initiative falls within the framework of social and awareness programs executed by the Department of Youth Social Development and Rehabilitation, aiming to foster positive behaviors among students and cultivate a sense of responsibility and belonging toward their schools and communities."
The Al-Warith Scouts Division continues to carry out targeted initiatives aimed at spreading a culture of volunteerism and community service, contributing to the support of the educational environment and the reinforcement of pedagogical values among the youth.
