The Department of Engineering and Technical Projects at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the ongoing progression of construction efforts at the Sahib al-Zaman (may Allah hasten his reappearance) Gardens project in Babil Governorate. This endeavor is part of continuous efforts to upgrade religious sites and elevate their service and aesthetic environments, ensuring comfort for esteemed visitors.
In an official statement obtained by the Official Website, the department noted that "engineering and technical teams in the Department of Engineering and Technical Projects at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine are sustaining project execution at an accelerated pace according to established plans, in alignment with the urban and service vision to enhance religious sites and offer a suitable atmosphere for visitors." The department indicated that "the project is being constructed over an area covering 6,000 square meters."
It further clarified that "the initiative stands as one of the key projects intended to enrich the aesthetic and functional aspects of the site by establishing public gardens and green spaces that help provide a relaxing environment and a recreational outlet for Iraqi families."
The statement added that "the scope of work encompasses planting various types of environmentally and health-beneficial trees and plants, as well as installing fountains, thereby helping to improve the urban landscape and create a pleasant natural setting for visitors."
It highlighted that "these activities are part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's mission to support the environmental sector, upgrade public services and infrastructure, and expand green spaces across different Iraqi governorates to benefit both citizens and visitors alike."
The Maqam al-Ghaiba Gardens project is part of a series of development and service initiatives carried out by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine across multiple provinces in Iraq, aimed at rehabilitating religious landmarks and fostering an integrated environment for visitors.
