Safeer Al-Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the transfer of a newborn girl from Tal Afar district to Holy Karbala to undergo an urgent surgical intervention after she was diagnosed with brain hemorrhaging. The procedure comes as part of the 25th campaign launched by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to deliver healthcare and medical services in Nineveh Governorate.
Eng. Abbas Abd Ali, the hospital's administrative director, stated that "the case was discovered by its medical delegation while participating in the medical campaign held in Tal Afar district, Nineveh Governorate." He explained that "after conducting the required examinations and diagnosing the condition, the medical team recommended transferring the child to Holy Karbala to receive specialized medical care."
He added that "the transfer of the child was carried out under the directives of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai, with the aim of providing her with the necessary treatment in the hospitals of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and carrying out the required surgical intervention."
