Safeer Al-Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Surgical Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the success of a specialized medical team in performing a rare and complex surgical operation on a 15-year-old child suffering from a set of congenital anomalies in the urinary and reproductive systems.
According to a statement obtained by the (Official Website), the hospital stated that "the child was suffering from congenital absence of the left kidney, dilation of the right kidney with difficulty in urinary drainage, and the presence of a large cyst in the seminal vesicle, alongside an undescended testicle."
It explained that "this condition falls under cases associated with Zinner Syndrome, a rare condition that requires specialized and precise surgical intervention."
It added that "the operation was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Muntazar Jamal Al-Tarafy, a urology specialist, with the participation of a team of anesthesiologists and medical staff, where the details and surgical complexities of the case were managed according to an integrated treatment plan."
The hospital emphasized that "the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to deliver its specialized medical services through Safeer Al-Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) Hospital and receive complex and rare cases, relying on specialized medical expertise and teamwork to contribute to providing comprehensive medical care for patients."
