On an Area of 56 Dunams: Construction Work Continues on the Al-Thaqalayn Technical University Project in Karbala to Complete an Integrated Academic Landmark

The Department of Engineering and Technical Projects at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of work to complete the Al-Thaqalayn Technical University project in the holy city of Karbala. The initiative aims to establish an integrated academic landmark that keeps pace with developments in technical education and advances higher education.

Speaking to the official website, Project Manager Engineer Alaa Hassan Hadi stated that construction work on the Al-Thaqalayn Technical University project is progressing at an advanced pace, with engineering teams continuing to execute the stages of the project according to set plans.

He added that the project is being built on an area of 56 dunams and includes 8 academic and service buildings, along with specialized laboratories, as well as designated residential buildings for male and female students, providing an integrated university environment that meets the needs of both students and educational staff.

He noted that work is proceeding according to approved engineering specifications and plans, consistent with the nature of the project and its educational goals, providing an appropriate infrastructure for the technical specialties the university will house.

The Al-Thaqalayn Technical University project comes as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine's efforts to support the higher education sector and provide an advanced educational environment that contributes to preparing scientific and technical personnel capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements and modern developments.
