The Safeer Al-Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the total volume of medical services provided to pilgrims during the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) for the period spanning Safar 10 to 23.
In an interview with the official website, the Administrative Director of the hospital, Engineer Abbas Abdul-Ali, stated that "the Safeer Al-Imam Hussain Surgical Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announced the total tally of medical and therapeutic services provided to visitors during the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), with the overall number of arrivals at medical service sites reaching 341,000 visitors during the period extending from Safar 10 to 23."
He explained that medical, nursing, and administrative staff mobilized their efforts across 18 medical sites and detachments to deliver optimal health services to arrivals in the holy city of Karbala. He noted that service delivery at the hospital and the medical detachment located inside the Holy Courtyard continued for 17 consecutive days, while external detachments sustained their services through 13 days of intensive operation.
He added that field medical teams and ambulances registered 1,050 emergency transports for cases requiring immediate care, alongside performing 23 emergency surgeries, which contributed to saving numerous visitors' lives and swiftly addressing critical conditions.
He further detailed that diagnostic departments doubled their efforts to meet visitor needs, completing 4,100 radiological examinations and 11,000 laboratory tests spanning various necessary medical analyses to ensure patient safety and provide appropriate treatment.
These comprehensive services fall within the health and service plan established by the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to guarantee full medical care for millions of arrivals from within Iraq and abroad, utilizing all personnel and equipment to serve the visitors of Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him).
