The Health and Medical Education Authority at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues to execute its specialized medical plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). By enhancing its emergency management and rapid response framework, the authority ensures the continuous delivery of comprehensive healthcare services to pilgrims around the clock.
According to an official statement received by the official website, the Health Disaster Management Center operates 24 hours a day to oversee health service operations and coordinate between emergency centers and field hospitals both inside and outside the holy shrine of Imam Hussain. This unified medical network facilitates swift responses to urgent situations.
The statement noted that more than 500 male and female paramedics are participating under the Pre-Hospital Preparedness Division. They provide first aid and medical support across various service locations, boosting the readiness of healthcare teams and guaranteeing prompt care for a wide range of cases.
The authority further explained that specialized "Code Blue" teams for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) have been deployed, alongside "Code Black" teams assigned to manage special cases. Additionally, a digital system powered by artificial intelligence has been adopted to manage healthcare services, enhancing response efficiency and enabling field tracking of cases.
Direct and continuous coordination remains active between medical camps and the Pre-Hospital Preparedness Division as part of an integrated plan to unify efforts and offer the highest standards of healthcare to Arbaeen pilgrims.
