Artificial Intelligence and Free Internet: Missing Persons Centers of the Communication Department at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine Continue Providing Services to Pilgrims

The Missing Persons Centers affiliated with the Communication Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continue to offer their services to Arbaeen pilgrims as part of a comprehensive service plan designed to facilitate locating missing individuals, alongside providing free internet service as well as free local and international phone calls to enhance communication and serve millions of pilgrims.

The Head of the Communication Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Engineer Mustafa Al-Shammari, stated in an interview with the Official Website that "under the directives of the Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, and with direct oversight from the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Mr. Hassan Rashid Jawad Al-Abayachi, the Missing Persons Centers of the Communication Department continue delivering their services to Arbaeen pilgrims within an integrated service plan aimed at making it easier to locate missing persons."

He clarified that "the services of the centers cover all roads and axes leading to the city of Karbala, in addition to the areas surrounding the two Holy Shrines of Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas." He pointed out that "the centers rely on digital applications and platforms supported by artificial intelligence technology to identify missing individuals through advanced facial recognition systems, which has accelerated search operations and findings, alongside providing free internet service and free local and international calling."

He added that "the centers receive requests to search for missing persons by registering their data electronically, and all centers are linked to a unified network that allows access to information from any center, facilitating the quick discovery of missing individuals."

He continued that "the services include interpreters fluent in several languages, including Persian, English, and Urdu, to facilitate communication with foreign pilgrims."

The Missing Persons Centers affiliated with the Communication Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine represent one of the most prominent humanitarian services provided during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, working to reunite lost individuals with their families through an advanced electronic system utilizing digital applications and artificial intelligence technologies.
