The Strategic Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the continuation of work on the Khatam Al-Anbiyaa Specialized Hospital for Cardiovascular Diseases project in Karbala Province.
Speaking to the official website, the head of the department, Engineer Mohammed Diaa Mohammed, stated that "the Strategic Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine continues the implementation of the Khatam Al-Anbiyaa Specialized Hospital for Cardiovascular Diseases project in Karbala Province."
He explained that "the project is being constructed on a site covering (16,000) square meters, with a total built-up area of (35,000) square meters, in accordance with the latest international specifications and architectural standards adopted for major specialized hospitals. This ensures smooth movement, integration between departments, and enhanced efficiency in the delivery of medical services."
He added that "the project consists of three main buildings, led by the primary building, which rises (11) floors and has a capacity of (157) beds. It includes a surgical department containing (7) advanced operating rooms, among them a Hybrid OR, which is considered one of the latest technologies adopted worldwide, in addition to (4) specialized cardiac catheterization laboratories."
He further noted that "the project includes a logistics services building dedicated to vehicle parking (garage), consisting of (6) floors, aimed at organizing traffic flow and serving patients and medical staff. It also includes a dedicated services building for mechanical and electrical systems, including transformers and generators, to ensure uninterrupted power supply around the clock."
He emphasized that "the hospital has been equipped with integrated technological systems, including central HVAC systems that comply with healthcare requirements, intelligent fire alarm and suppression systems, public address systems, as well as modern elevators and escalators."
He pointed out that "the hospital will be supplied with the latest diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment."
The Khatam Al-Anbiyaa Specialized Hospital for Cardiovascular Diseases project is one of the strategic healthcare projects being implemented by the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine as part of its vision to develop Iraq’s healthcare infrastructure. The project aims to provide advanced specialized medical services for patients with cardiovascular diseases in accordance with the latest international standards, contributing to reducing the need for treatment abroad.
