Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Women’s Specialized Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has announced the launch of the “Noor Al-Afiya” initiative to perform eye surgeries at nominal prices during April 2026, as part of its efforts to enhance healthcare services and ease the burden on citizens.
In a statement received by the official website, the hospital said that “Al-Sayyida Khadija Al-Kubra Women’s Specialized Hospital, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, announces the launch of the ‘Noor Al-Afiya’ initiative to conduct eye surgeries at nominal prices during April 2026, as part of its efforts to improve healthcare services and reduce the burden on citizens.”
It explained that “the initiative includes a range of specialized procedures, including cataract removal with lens implantation, strabismus correction (for one eye), as well as eyelid tightening surgeries, removal of foreign bodies from the eye, treatment of blocked tear ducts, in addition to correction of eyelid drooping.”
It added that “the cost of each procedure under the initiative is only (300,000) Iraqi dinars, excluding the cost of lenses, providing a suitable opportunity for a wide segment of patients to access advanced medical services at subsidized prices.”
The hospital noted that “the procedures are carried out under the supervision of specialized medical teams comprising Iraqi and foreign experts, using the latest approved medical technologies, contributing to achieving the best therapeutic outcomes.”
It is worth noting that this initiative is part of a series of health and humanitarian programs implemented by the hospital to support the healthcare sector and serve the community, particularly in the field of specialized treatments.
