High Engineering Standards in Al-Sayyid Al-Khoei Husseiniya Project

The Expansion Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is implementing the “Al-Sayyid Al-Khoei Husseiniya” project near the entrance of the Qibla Gate of the Imam Hussain Shrine. The project covers a total area of (950) m2 and is being carried out upon assignment from the Al-Khoei Foundation.

Head of the department, engineer Hussein Reza Mahdi, said in remarks to the (official website) that “the Expansion Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine is overseeing the implementation of the Al-Sayyid Al-Khoei Husseiniya project near the entrance of the Qibla Gate of the shrine of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), covering a total area of (950) m2, upon assignment from the Al-Khoei Foundation.”

He explained that “the project is being implemented according to a comprehensive engineering vision that takes into account the nature of the location and its religious significance. Structural and architectural designs have been adopted that correspond with the sanctity of the site, while adhering to the highest standards of quality in execution.”

He added that “the work began with the site preparation stage, followed by the construction of the foundations and structural framework, leading to the completion of detailed engineering elements being carried out with high efficiency, in harmony with the architectural character surrounding the holy shrine.”

He confirmed that “the department’s teams continue their work at an increasing pace to complete the project within the scheduled timeframe, so that it will serve as an architectural and service addition that helps provide a suitable space to receive and serve visitors throughout the year.”

The completion of the Al-Sayyid Al-Khoei Husseiniya project near the entrance of the Qibla Gate of the shrine of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), implemented by the Expansion Projects Department of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, is expected to add qualitative value to the urban landscape surrounding the shrine of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him), reflecting a balance between engineering design and humanitarian service to visitors.
