The Media Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has announced the start of implementing its media plan dedicated to covering the rituals of the Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage and commemorating the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance).
The head of the department, Engineer Abbas Asim Al-Khafaji, said that “the Media Department at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has begun executing an integrated media plan to broadcast the rituals of the Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage and commemorate the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) to audiences around the world,” noting that “the department has mobilized all available tools and resources to ensure comprehensive and professional media coverage.”
He explained that “the media plan includes live broadcasting of the pilgrimage rituals and activities taking place at the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) through the official websites of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine and its various media platforms, enabling pilgrims and believers from different parts of the world to follow the details of the pilgrimage in real time.”
He added that “the Media Department, in cooperation with the Sada Al-Khadam Division at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, has launched the proxy pilgrimage campaign, under which the pilgrimage will be performed on behalf of all names submitted through the official websites during the days of the pilgrimage,” pointing out that “this initiative aims to expand spiritual participation for believers who are unable to travel to the holy city of Karbala.”
Al-Khafaji noted that “the department has utilized all official websites and social media platforms affiliated with the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine to provide continuous coverage of the pilgrimage rituals, ensuring that followers remain informed about developments and the services provided by the shrine to pilgrims.”
He also pointed out that “the Media Department has prepared designated, fully equipped areas for satellite news gathering (SNG) vehicles to broadcast the pilgrimage rituals, in addition to issuing identification badges for staff of satellite channels, news agencies, and other media institutions, contributing to the organization of media operations and facilitating the work of journalistic teams.”
This media plan comes as part of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine’s commitment to conveying the message of the Mid-Sha‘ban pilgrimage to the world and highlighting the spiritual and service-oriented atmosphere witnessed in the city of Karbala during this significant occasion.
