Second day of the 6th Iraqi Universities Graduation Ceremony commences at the shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (p.b.u.h)

The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine launched the second day of the central graduation ceremony for Iraqi university students, now in its sixth edition, held within the blessed grounds of the shrine of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

The event is organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the Holy Shrine, as part of the National “Fetyat Al-Kafeel” Project. More than 5,000 students, representing 75 public and private universities from various provinces across Iraq, took part in the celebrations.

The ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, Sayyid Mustafa Murtadha Aal Diaa Al-Deen, along with several board members, officials, department heads, and shrine servants.

The second day’s program included a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an by reciter Haider Al-Bazzoni, followed by the graduation oath and pledge of loyalty and dedication in service to the homeland and humanity, delivered by Dr. Abbas Al-Dadda Al-Mousawi, a member of the shrine’s Board of Directors. The activities also featured the performance of the visitation rites of Imam Hussain and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), recited by Sayyid Ali Mamitha from the Sayyid Servants Division.

The day concluded with a collective student procession toward the shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), passing through the area between the two holy shrines.
