The Arabic Language and Literature House Division organized its first appreciation conference for university professors this morning inside the Khatam Al-Anbiya Hall at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, under the title: “Loyalty to Knowledge… Presence and Eminence of Status (The Late Prof. Hadi Atiyah Matar Al-Hilali: A Life of Service and Contribution).”
The conference aims to revive the legacy of distinguished scholars who dedicated their lives to guiding students of knowledge and protecting them from missteps and shortcomings.
The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the conference address delivered by the head of the division, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Al-Rubaie. In his speech, he affirmed that nations which do not honor and respect their scholars are nations that deny virtue and show ingratitude to those who contributed to their advancement.
He pointed out that elevating the ranks of scholars and acknowledging their merit is rooted in religion and represents a fundamental principle and divine obligation.
Participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine for its continuous efforts in commemorating and honoring scholars, as well as highlighting their role in enlightening societies and guiding them toward truth and knowledge.
