Newly released photos have captured significant progress on the Al-Aqeela Zainab (peace be upon her) Courtyard Expansion Project at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Karbala.
The project, one of the shrine’s largest ongoing development initiatives, aims to enhance the capacity and facilities surrounding the holy site, providing improved accommodation and services for the millions of pilgrims who visit each year.
The images reveal extensive construction advancements across multiple sections of the site, including structural works, architectural detailing, and infrastructure development.
The Al-Aqeela Zainab Courtyard project is part of the shrine’s broader expansion strategy to create an integrated environment that balances architectural beauty, spiritual significance, and functional efficiency, reflecting the shrine’s continued commitment to serving pilgrims and preserving Islamic heritage.
