First of its kind in Iraq: a specialized hospital for treating cardiovascular diseases in Karbala, constructed by Imam Hussain Shrine

The Department of Strategic Projects at the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine announced its ongoing work on the 'Khatam al-Anbiya' Hospital project for treating cardiovascular diseases in the Karbala Governorate 

The project supervisor, Maytham Shaker Yasser, said in an interview with the official website, "The achieved rates by the engineering and technical staff of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine has reached (54%) so far with ongoing hard work, noting that the project was constructed with an area of ​​35,000 square meters and a capacity of 150 beds".

Yasser continued, "The project consists of (3) buildings, one for the power station, and one dedicated to parking vehicles and public services, and the main one consists of (11) floors, which includes the emergency department, radiology, central pharmacy and laboratory, resting rooms, as well as study halls... Also, the hospital includes rooms for intensive care for children and adults, and the project is being constructed according to the global standards approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Health"
