In his discussion on orientalism, the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine indicated that some orientalists are trying to defame the Islamic religion in the West, violating the divine constitution, and its icons, and historical religious figures, and prophets. and weakening it, through their movies and theater, writing bad books and novels, and demonstrating against the Qur’an.
Mr. Hassan Rashid Al-Abaychji said in his speech during the symposium which was held at (the Warith Alanbiya Foundation) for Specialized Studies of the Imam Hussain Renaissance, that "the history wasn't fair with the Islam, and the intellectual invasion to the Islamic nation, came through rewriting history, values, concepts, and ideas related to all aspects according to the Western concept.
also, the harmful side of globalization that dominated peoples' minds through social media, resulted in high rates of divorces, crimes, and youth immorality.
He added, "nevertheless, there are a lot of orientalists, who have a straight point of view to Islam, and have a great interest in its history.
especially for the Imam Hussain renaissance, and what happened in al-taff battle, learning from its lessons, and how to stand against injustice"
therefore we have to share the spirit of love and peace in our world. and separate the straight, and fanatic orientalists.
by indicating, that holding such conferences and forums aim to spread the goals of Imam Hussain (As)
He pointed out that "the visit of Pope St. Francis to the supreme religious authority, Sayyed Ali al-Husseiny al-Sistani, is a great example of spreading the spirit of peace, and renouncing violence and extremism, so that meeting had great repercussions on the entire world"
